Graham was a long standing member of BCBC, chairman of both club and Coventry league and devoted badminton fan. Everyone knew and loved Graham - he was involved in everything to do with badminton; working at the All England tournament at the NIA each year, and many other contributions to the sport, too numerous to mention.
Sadly, Graham passed away in 2016 and is missed but fondly remembered by all. There is now a Coventry tournament known as the Graham Chilvers Cup.
Bob was another long serving member who dearly loved the game. Always with a smile, Bob was a character on and off court. I personally remember Bob making club nights fun with his cheeky antics and determined play!
Sadly Bob passed away, and now BCBC have a Bob Hendrick memorial trophy which is given to the most deserving club member for that season.
Wa played at Balsall for a couple of seasons after coming down with Jon Newland from Warwick University. As a county level player and former England junior, Wa was a huge boost to our firepower and helped us in our Mixed and Mens teams.
As well as impressive results in the league, Wa also won several tournaments listed on the achievements
Wa left the club to move to Abu Dhabi for a new job where he is having a fantastic time.
